The Development Zone will irregularly carry out "full coverage" on-site inspections of pollution related enterprises within its jurisdiction, launch contact with cadres to "enter the enterprise, check the site, and turn over the account", urge enterprises to improve environmental protection systems, standardize the setting of hazardous waste warehouses and account records, and ensure normal operation of equipment, clean and orderly appearance of the plant. At the same time, patrol inspection of trunk roads in the area under jurisdiction will be intensified, and management and control of environmental problems such as construction dust and overload spillage of projects under construction will be strengthened.

Development zone "Tianyan" system

In 2019, the Development Zone successfully created a "zero direct sewage discharge area", with a total of 5.3 kilometers of new water supply pipelines, 6.2 kilometers of drainage pipelines, 6.7 kilometers of sewage (waste) pipelines, and 226000 square meters of green area.

This year, the Development Zone issued the Long term Management Measures for "Zero Direct Sewage Discharge" of Enterprises in the Development Zone to standardize the behavior of enterprises in discharging sewage and building a grid management system. At the same time, special personnel shall be assigned to monitor the pollution discharge of the enterprise in real time in the environmental protection "Tianyan" center, notify the enterprise to rectify immediately in case of any abnormality, and eliminate the potential environmental hazards in time.

The difficulty of hazardous waste disposal has always been a long-standing problem for small and micro enterprises in the development zone. Zhou Yongjia, the main person in charge of the environmental protection station in the Economic Development Zone, introduced that in order to solve this problem, a hazardous waste (solid waste) transfer station was planned to be built, and preliminary preparations such as the project feasibility study report, land red line and design conditions have been completed.
